How much does a concrete driveway cost on the Northern Beaches?
It depends on the size, access, how much excavation or removal is involved, the finish (plain, coloured or exposed aggregate) and drainage. Rather than guess, Steve visits, measures and gives you a written quote at no charge.
How long until I can use the new concrete?
As a rule, keep foot traffic off for 24 to 48 hours and cars off a driveway for about seven days. Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after that. Steve will give you the timing for your pour and finish.
Exposed aggregate or plain concrete?
Exposed aggregate costs more up front but hides marks, grips well when wet and suits coastal homes. A plain or coloured broom finish is the cleaner, more economical look and lasts for decades when the base and reinforcement are done properly. Steve can show you samples of both.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. Side paths, steps, shed slabs, repairs and resurfacing are all welcome, alongside full driveways and commercial slabs.
Do I need council approval for a driveway crossover?
Usually, yes. A new or widened crossover on council land needs approval from Northern Beaches Council or your local council. Steve can tell you what applies to your property and builds to the approved plan.
Do you work with builders and commercial clients?
Yes. M.I.A Concreting works with builders, landscapers, strata managers and businesses across Sydney's north, as well as homeowners. Send plans or site photos for a quote.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. M.I.A Concreting Pty Ltd holds NSW Fair Trading licence 278909C, Steve holds a Certificate IV in formwork, and all work is insured with GIO.
